POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: HR Coordinator
Reports to: President/Owner
Date Description Developed: August 2009
Exemption Status: Part Time Non-Exempt, approx. 20 hours/week
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the CEO this position is responsible for administrative support to achieve the mission of Kandy Weaver & Associates, LLC. The HR Coordinator will serve as a member of the HR team and support the organization is providing human resource best practices to its clients and administrative support to the HR team.
Responsibility 1: Human Resources Support 40% of Time
- Responsible to assist in supporting client projects in areas of job description, recruitment, policy and procedure and general human resource support.
- Assists HR team with administrative support assigned to meet client deadlines and within the scope of the client contract.
- Provides back up support to other team members.
- Proofreads documents (handbooks, presentations, etc)
- Schedules and follows up with interview schedules and other client meetings
Responsibility 2: Data Management 40% of Time
- Working with team members, assists with the maintenance of the data management system to track client information.
- Assists with the management of client files and training file information.
- Monitor and update website as necessary.
- Responsible for the data entry of KWA documents to client management system
- Interfaces with technical support to translate ideas into strategy and practice
- Sends out monthly HR Tips to client base.
- Maintains and updates Tips data base.
Responsibility 3: General Administrative Support 20% of Time
- Process client assessments
- Copies and binds handouts for presentations
- Attends weekly staff meetings and takes minutes
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
- Excellent typing and general office skills. Proficient PC skills including e-mail, spreadsheet, graphics, etc., record keeping.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written communication and able to write appropriately for the needs of the audience.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be willing to adapt to change and assist in the positive progress of the company.
- Ability to handle several simultaneous tasks while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Must be willing to work under the direction of multiple supervisors.
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible attitude, able to independently look for ways to help others.
- Must be able to use independent judgment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong working knowledge of wage and employment law practices
- Working familiarity with the following: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and e-mail programs
- Human resources coursework preferred
Working Conditions:
- May be required to work occasionally in evenings and weekends.
